What This Is
A custom pizza oven cover is a waterproof cover made to the measurements of one oven: yours, chimney included. The four shapes on the configurator are the common ones, not the limit. We cover any oven, any shape, any size — if yours is not listed, send us photos and measurements and we draw it. It sits in our wider range of outdoor cooking and BBQ covers.
An oven is not a box. It is a body with a chimney standing off the top, and where that chimney sits decides where the water goes. So we ask which oven you have first, then where the chimney is, then its width, depth and height. The cover goes on once the oven is cold, and comes off before you light it.
Why Do Universal Pizza Oven Covers Never Fit Right?
A universal pizza oven cover is a barbecue cover with a different label. It is sold by the length of the oven and nothing else, so it has no idea where the chimney is or how tall it stands.
Put it on and it does one of two things. It hangs from the cap like a tent from a pole, with a hollow of slack either side of the chimney and a hem that stops short of the stand. Or it has a chimney sleeve in the wrong place, so the oven sits skewed under it and one side gapes open. Look at the photo and ask where the rain sits after one shower. In the slack in front of the chimney, pressing on the fabric until it finds a way through.
A stand makes it worse. The cover ends at the oven, so the stand below it stays wet, and the wind gets under the hem and lifts the lot.
What Does a Pizza Oven Cover Protect Against?
Six things damage a pizza oven across the year: rain, damp, sun, wind, frost, and birds and nests. The chimney takes the first of them straight to the stone, and a closed door holds the second one in.
Rain Down the Chimney
An open chimney is a funnel. Rain runs down the flue onto the stone, and a wet stone cannot be fired until it has dried right through. What misses the flue sits on the top and finds the door seal.
Damp Shut In
A closed oven does not dry. At night the bare steel inside cools faster than the air, and the water in that air condenses onto the roof and walls. Rust follows it on the steel, and mould on the stone.
Sun & Fading
Powder coat chalks and fades on the top and on the side that faces the afternoon. Plastic knobs and the thermometer face go brittle. The strip under the chimney cap keeps its colour, which shows what shade would have done.
Wind-Blown Grit
Wind on its own does nothing to an oven; what it carries does. Grit, dust and leaves blow into the open mouth and down the flue, and stay on the stone until the next cook bakes them in.
Frost
Water held in a porous stone and in the flue joints freezes and pushes outward. A stone that has taken a hard frost wet can crack the first time it is fired. On a brick or clay dome the same freeze opens the hairline cracks every firing leaves.
Birds & Nests
An open oven is a dry hole in a garden, and something will move in. Birds and mice build in the mouth over winter, and a nest against the stone is fuel the first time you light it.
Which Pizza Oven Do You Have?
Which Pizza Oven Do You Have?
Pick the one that looks like yours on the configurator. The measuring guide for that shape appears as soon as you do. For Ooni, Gozney and Ninja owners it is the chimney and the stand that decide the shape, not the badge.
Pizza Oven With Stand
An oven on its own steel stand, a trolley or a table you want covered too. The cover runs from the top of the chimney to the ground and pulls in under the stand rail, so the shelf and the legs stay dry with the oven.
Countertop Wood-Fired Oven
A compact oven with a chimney, standing on a table or counter: Ooni Karu and Fyra, Gozney Roccbox. The cover is shaped over the chimney and drops back to the body, finishing at the oven's feet so the table stays free.
Countertop Gas Oven
A stepped body and no chimney: Ooni Koda, Gozney Arc, Ninja Artisan. The cover follows the step from the upper section down to the wider base and finishes at the feet, with the hose exit clear at the back.
Oven on a Brick Base
A dome or barrel oven built onto a brick or block plinth. The cover takes in the oven, its chimney and the base beneath it, and runs to the ground. The wood store and the brickwork stay dry, and so does the dome, which cracks far less when it is not fired wet.
A grill with a pizza-oven attachment, such as a Ninja Woodfire or a kamado with a stone, is a grill, and is measured on our custom grill covers page.
What Happens to an Uncovered Outdoor Pizza Oven?
Rust round the chimney collar, a cracked dome and mould on the stone do not only happen to an oven left bare. They happen under covers too — ones that tented off the cap, blew off in the night, or shut the damp in with the door. An outdoor pizza oven is lit a dozen times a summer and stands out for the other three hundred days.

How Is This Pizza Oven Cover Different?
01
Made for the Oven You Own
Every oven takes its own measurements: width, depth and overall height. The chimney shapes add the height of the chimney, the width of its cap and where it sits. Not an oven length, not a size band, not the nearest barbecue cover that is close enough. We draw it to those numbers, and nothing is cut until you approve the drawing.
02
100% Waterproof — Not Shower-Proof
Shower-proof holds off a drizzle and gives up in a downpour, and an oven stands in both all winter. NylonSafe® is a premium waterproof fabric for home and light commercial use. PVCArmour® is heavy-duty, for exposed and commercial sites. Both carry HydroLok® sealed seams — stitched and sealed internally so water cannot get through the seam lines. Compare the two fabrics.
03
Chimney Shaped In, Not Tented
The chimney gets its own sleeve, drawn to the cap width and position you give us. The cover drops back to the body instead of hanging off the cap. The drawstring hem pulls in under the feet or the stand rail. Elasticated corners, eyelets and snap buckles are there for an oven in an exposed spot.
04
Built to Stay Out
An oven cover spends its life in the open, so both fabrics are UV-stabilised. Airflow vents move damp out of the oven instead of shutting it in. EZ handles — grab handles built into the vent structure — mean it goes on and comes off without a fight. Reinforced load points, waterproof zips and a duffel bag are standard. See every built-in feature.
When Do You Need a Custom Pizza Oven Cover?
A custom cover is not the answer for every oven. These are the two cases. Either way the cover is drawn before it is cut, which is how we make pizza oven covers.
Focused on Longevity
This cover is right for you if:
Your oven lives outside all year — on the patio, in the outdoor kitchen or under a tree — and you want the stone dry and the chimney sound in spring
A universal cover has already tented off the chimney, blown off overnight, or left the stand bare and wet
Your oven stands on a stand or a brick base that no barbecue cover was drawn for
Focused on Immediacy
You don't need this if:
You are content buying another cheap oven cover each spring when the last one gives out
The oven comes into a garage or shed after every cook
You want a cover off the shelf this week and will live with the fit

How do I measure my pizza oven for a cover?
Pick your oven first — on a stand, countertop wood-fired, countertop gas, or on a brick base — then measure that shape. Each one has its own measuring guide on this page with every measurement lettered on a diagram, and a Download PDF button if you want a copy to take outside. A is the total width, B the total depth and C the total height, measured to the top of the chimney cap where there is one. The chimney shapes then ask where the chimney sits: its distance from the front and rear edges, and the width of its cap. That is what lets the cover clear it instead of tenting off it. Measure the oven cold, exactly as it stands, and do not add anything for room: we add the fitting allowance ourselves.
Which shape is my Ooni, Gozney or Ninja?
Ooni Koda, Gozney Arc and the Ninja Artisan are countertop gas ovens — a stepped body and no chimney. Ooni Karu and Fyra and the Gozney Roccbox are countertop ovens with a chimney. Choose countertop wood-fired for those even if you run yours on gas — it is the chimney the cover has to clear, not the fuel. A Gozney Dome, or any oven standing on its own steel stand or on a table you want covered too, is the with-stand shape. An oven set on a brick or block base is brick base. If you are not sure, send us a photo and we will tell you.
Do I have to let the oven cool down before I cover it?
Yes. A pizza oven runs far hotter than a barbecue and the shell, chimney and stone hold that heat for a long time after the fire is out. The cover is a waterproof fabric, not a fireproof one — it goes on once the oven is cold to the touch, and it comes off before you light it. Left on a warm oven it will not burn, but heat and trapped moisture are exactly what the cover is there to keep off the metal.
Will the cover go over the chimney?
Yes — it is drawn to. For the chimney shapes we ask for the height of the chimney, the width of its cap and how far it sits from the front and back edges. The cover is shaped to clear it and drop back down to the body. A rectangular cover has to tent from the top of the cap, which leaves the body loose and the whole thing catching the wind. If your chimney cap comes off, leave it on when you measure. If you take it off to store the oven, tell us and we will draw the cover for the flue without it.
Can I leave a pizza oven outside all year?
Most owners do, and that is what the cover is for. The shell is steel or ceramic and the stone is porous, so what wears an oven out is not the cold. It is water: rain down the chimney onto the stone, damp shut inside a closed oven, and rust starting where the chimney meets the shell, and at the feet. On a brick or clay oven the same water soaks the dome, and every firing and every frost opens the cracks a little further. A fitted cover with airflow vents keeps the rain off and lets the inside dry between cooks. If you bring the oven indoors for winter, measure it as it stands outside and the same cover does both jobs.
Does the cover include the stand or table?
If you pick the with-stand shape, yes. The cover runs from the top of the chimney to the ground and takes in the stand or table the oven sits on, with a drawstring hem pulled in at the bottom. If you pick a countertop shape, the cover finishes at the base of the oven and the table underneath stays uncovered. That is the right choice if the oven lives on a kitchen counter or a table you use for other things. The Ooni Modular Table, a Gozney stand and a home-made trolley are all with-stand.
My oven runs on gas. What happens to the bottle and the hose?
The cover is drawn to the oven, not the bottle. On a countertop gas oven the regulator and hose come out of the back at low level and the cover drops over them. Disconnect the bottle and keep it where you keep it now. If your oven has a gas bottle housed inside its stand, choose the with-stand shape and the cover takes the stand in. Tell us in the notes that there is a bottle inside, so we allow for the door.
Is a custom pizza oven cover fully waterproof?
Yes. Both fabrics are waterproof rather than showerproof: NylonSafe® is a 420-denier nylon for home and light commercial use, PVCArmour® a heavy 1000-denier PVC for exposed sites and commercial use. Every seam is HydroLok® sealed — stitched and then sealed internally so water cannot get through the seam lines. Airflow vents are built in, so the oven dries out underneath instead of sweating. Read more about our fabrics →
How does the cover stay on in wind?
A pizza oven is heavy, so the cover does not need to hold the oven down — it needs to hold itself down. As standard the cover has a drawstring hem that pulls in under the oven's feet or the stand rail, so there is no loose skirt for the wind to get under. The chimney is shaped in rather than tented, so there is no pocket for a gust to fill. If your oven sits somewhere exposed, swap the drawstring for elasticated corners, snap buckles, eyelets or a combination when you configure the cover. See the tie-down options.
My oven isn't one of the four shapes. Can you still make a cover?
Yes. The four on the configurator are the common ones, not the limit — we cover any oven, any shape, any size. A twin-chimney oven, an oven on a trolley with side shelves, a barrel oven: send us photos and the main measurements through the free design service and we draw it. Nothing is cut until you have approved the drawing.
How long does a custom pizza oven cover take to arrive?
Current lead time is 2–3 weeks from design approval. Every cover is drawn to your oven's measurements and made to order, so the clock starts when you approve the drawing, not when you place the order. Timescales are estimates and can vary depending on how busy we are, so please check with us before ordering.
How long does a custom pizza oven cover last?
Ten years or more is normal with a good fit and a little care. Keep it off the oven until the oven is cold, brush the ash and soot off the inside face now and then, and leave the vents clear. NylonSafe® carries a 3-year warranty and PVCArmour® 5 years; the KuvrPlus warranty extension doubles both.
What warranty comes with a custom pizza oven cover?
Every cover carries a warranty as standard, covering fabric degradation, seam failure and manufacturing defects. NylonSafe® is covered for 3 years and PVCArmour® for 5, and the KuvrPlus warranty extension doubles those to 5 and 10 years. Full terms are on our warranty page.

Really pleased with our cover! We have an outside grill station that was impossible to find a ready made cover for. John was super helpful with measurements and advice and the zips were a great addition. Extremely tough material that will last for many years. Would thoroughly recommend!
Great product - feels so much better quality than previous covers I have bought and exactly the right size.
Approving of plans and buying the cover was easy with good communications along the way - can't praise highly enough
Words cannot express just how happy we are with the furniture covers. We had a corner sofa and additionally a 3 seater sofa , 2 seater plus 2 chairs ordered and two coffee table covers . The customer service pre-order in the initial planning and design stage was exceptional. On going communication and the prompt delivery coordinated around my furniture arrival dates was prompt and on schedule .
Five Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great communication checking all the way right specs and measurements etc, free upgrade to zip which was great fully received, the quality is fantastic would highly recommend to anyone
The cover is amazing, just look at how well it fits and how great it looks. The quality is exceptional.
As impressive as the cover is, the service was even better. It was the best customer service experience I've had in a long time. John was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He went well above and beyond what I expected, ensuring everything was perfect. His communication was excellent throughout, he was incredibly responsive, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. It's rare to find someone so committed to delivering a great outcome and genuinely caring about their customers.
I would give 6 stars if I could. Exceptional service and outstanding professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both John and Kuvr to anyone looking for a high-quality cover backed by first-class customer service.
Thank you again, John.
After a lot of internet searching and quotes from various companies I finally found Kuvr.co - They were the first company that actually listened to my requirements and helped me get exactly what I needed ( custom tarpaulin for covering a diy pergola). After discussions and reviews of drawings I then received the order promptly and with agreed sizes and eyelet orientation for my project. Definitely recommended. Thanks
Initially I purchased some plastic sheets from Amazon, put the up and thought 'job done'. The sheets became discoloured, they constantly made a noise as they blew around and in the end they just tore apart. I then decided to do the job properly by looking into professional custom covers. I found Kuvr online and submitted an initial enquiry with some measurements. The whole experience from then on was awesome. I got a swift response and was guided through the selection and measuring process in a simple to follow way. Once their impressive price came back I just answered a few questions for additional details of exactly what I wanted and then approved the detailed drawings which they provided. The covers arrived on time and once I'd put them up The difference was amazing. The Kuvr covers are very clear, strong, excellently made and the days of listening to plastic rustling away in even the slightest breeze have well and truly gone. I will definitely be using this company in the future and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
Purchased these covers to replace some older inferior tarpaulin.
This space over our old decking was created for covid, but provides us with shelter for all kinds of use these days.
Currently a potting area for my wife.!
Kuvr quality and their customer service is amazing. We could not wish for better.
The advice regarding how to get the measurements correct was really worthwhile. The ordering process was easy, and the cover came earlier than predicted. The quality of the cover is excellent and it is a perfect fit
Excellent product, very good customer service. Hassle free ordering and you get sent a draft of the finished item to approve before it’s made. Very quick delivery. All told very pleased and would definitely recommend.
Ordering straightforward. It was reassuring/useful to receive a detailed diagram of the tarpaulin design to ensure this was correct. Good communication during the process. Received the tarpaulin just over a week from ordering which was much faster than promised. Impressed with the quality and value for money. Will use Kuvr again for any more tarpaulins or covers.
First order with Kuvr - the process was super quick, easy and the end product is spot on. Very happy with my purchase and seems great quality. Will using again for sure 👍🏼
Very pleased with customer support. Particularly with checking my measurements and providing diagram of expected cover for my garden furniture. Also the end product was of excellent quality. Would highly recommend.
John and the team at Kuvr have been a pleasure to deal with, very helpful, knowledgeable and great customer service. I have received my custom cover for my rabbit enclosure and I am over the moon. It is exactly what I wanted and more! Very quality pieces. Cannot thank the Kuvr team enough. Thank you all!
Exactly what I wanted, I'm very pleased with the clear screens and the customer support is some of best I ever come across.
The screens were a bit creased when I unpacked them but as soon as they warmed up in the house the creased disappeared. The day I put them up was a bit cold and they were a bit awkward to line up. Luckily the sun came out which made the job went a lot easier. There has been a couple of really windy days since fitting and they stood up to it very well.
After trying a local company, I decided to search the "net" and came across your site.
The dimensions I gave you and the expected cover picture was enought to make my mind up. Your product is I would say 4 times better than my local company. They could not guarantee durability or waterproofing either.
Having got my cover from yourselves I was very pleased with the quality, really strong material and very waterproof. Having it slightly oversize negates the problem of having to struggle fitting it. The old cover that came with the furniture would lift up in even mild winds, not so with this one. Althtough I have 3 bungee cords across it, it shows no sign of movement. To say I am very pleased is an understatement. Thank you.
Really good quality tarpaulin. The dust bag that came with the tarpaulin was an added bonus. Amazing customer service. John took on board all requirements, return messages were prompt. Delivery time was much quicker than expected. Highly professional company would highly recommend and would definitely use again.
