Custom clear covers? Let’s Kuvr it!
Looking to cover something? Good job, because that's exactly what we do here at Kuvr®!
Instant quotes for custom covers is our mantra, fanatical customer service is our benchmark, keeping manufacturing local is our philosophy.
We help our customers transform outdoor spaces. We provide peace of mind by protecting what matters most from all kinds of unwanted nuisances, be it wind, rain, dirt, dust or cold. We cover verandas, pergolas, hot tubs, chicken coops, kennels, catios... the list is, quite frankly, endless.
Our clear screens (or covers, tarpaulins, call ‘em what you will) are available in two different styles, Flexi 30 and Ultra 50. The 30 is a soft and flexible material, great for temporary coverage in all kinds of environments. The 50 is thick, durable and truly glass clear; it's a very popular option for covering summer houses and gazebos.
Just how clear are our screens?
Drag the slider below to see a side by side comparison of our two clear materials. The Ultra 50 is as close to being crystal clear as you can reasonably expect from a flexible fabric. The Flexi 30 is a little more hazy by comparison. There's more to this story though, read on to figure out which material is best suited for you.
Flexi 30 or Ultra 50? Which is best for you?
The Ultra 50 undoubtedly looks the part and has striking clarity, but the Flexi 30 is more supple and agile. Think of it like a limousine vs a sports car, fundamentally they're the same but each one is adapted for very different environments. We explain more in this short video...
Ultra 50 is as clear as it comes! A thick and durable material, ideal for pergola and veranda covers.
Supple and flexible as the name suggests! Flexi 30 is ideal for temporary coverage of all kinds.
One cover, one heck of a lot of uses!

It's not just the size you can customise...
Choose your edging colour, add zips, tie backs, maybe even an open hem on the bottom edge? The video below discusses all these options in more detail. We also explain these options in our handy PDF guide which you can download here.
The eagle eyed amongst you will note that we're not yet offering edging colour customisation for purchase online. This will be introduced soon but in the mean time please contact us if this is something you're interested in.
If you've made it this far then you're probably wondering how you're going to fix your screens? Don't worry — we've got you covered. Take a look at the video below which explains a number of different options. We've also created a handy PDF fixing guide which you can download here.
The fixing options discussed in the PDF file and video are not yet available for purchase online. They'll be introduced soon but in the mean time please contact us if they're something you're interested in.
Scaled diagrams for your approval
Once you submit your order you can expect scaled diagrams to be provided via email for your approval within 24 to 48 hours. We always do this before putting a job in to production to avoid any unnecessary mistakes and ensure we've understood your requirements correctly.
So rest easy knowing that nothing is set in stone the minute you confirm your order with us. Minor tweaks to dimensions after reviewing diagrams aren't unusual; oftentimes these drawings highlight issues that may otherwise be missed and ultimately help ensure that you're totally satisfied with the results.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, the dimensions you give to us are the dimensions we will manufacture to (the 'finished size') which includes a 40mm hem around the edge.
There is a slightly confusing and somewhat old fashioned industry term called 'cut size', which we do not use. It refers to the cut size of the material before the hems are folded into it. For most people we find cut size can cause unnecessary confusion so we'll avoid using it unless you request otherwise.
While we're on the subject of size, note that we manufacture to a tolerance of 20mm. We allow this tolerance primarily because our clear materials are susceptible to temperature change; they become more stretchy in warmer temperatures and shrink a little in cooler temperatures. If you have very exact size requirements then we recommend you drop us a message before ordering so we can discuss your options.
The Ultra 50 is as close to being "glass clear" as you can reasonably expect from a flexible material. The Flexi 30 is a little more hazy by comparison. Keep in mind that both these are both flexible fabrics which will likely mean a bit of distortion in clarity if the material flexes in the breeze.
If you've ever spent any time camping or at an outdoor wedding then you'll probably have come across similar fabrics which are commonly used as clear window infills in tents and marquees. Check out the photos and videos on this page to get a better idea of the level of transparency you should expect from our clear material.
Yes you can. You can customise your eyelet spacing in the "Eyelet customisation" section of the Instant Quote calculator above.

We're a long established family business based in England. We'd like to think you can trust us! We've been designing and manufacturing tarpaulins and clear screens for many years. You can find out more about us here.
For custom covers, we accept returns if the product is deemed faulty — and therefore covered under warranty — or if the request to return is a consequence of our own error, such as incorrect dimensions or material specification. Our full returns policy can be found here.
Yes we do. Our Ultra 50 material is supplied with a 1 year warranty. Our Flexi 30 material is supplied with a 6 month warranty.
Possibly, depending on your dimensions. We manufacture our clear screens from material that is supplied on 130cm or 180cm wide rolls. Where the screen width/height exceeds these dimensions we join fabric with a heat weld which can result in a visible seam.
If this is the case then we'll indicate the seam on the diagrams we supply to you for approval. We'll generally run it horizontally and out of eye line on the lower half of the panel. We can also position seams vertically if preferred or in a specific location to avoid being noticed, just let us know.
Yes. As standard we fit a 40mm hem to all edges. In the case of the Flexi 30, we'll insert a white strip into the hem to provide additional reinforcement for the eyelets. The Ultra 50 material is supplied with a clear hem.

We recommend a few different options. We've detailed them in the fixing information section above. You can also take a look at the below video which discusses these options in a bit more detail...
