A custom egg chair cover is a waterproof cover sized from your own egg chair's pod, opening and stand, rather than from a size band.
An egg chair is a tall woven pod, most often hanging from a steel stand, and it is nearly always the chair that stays outside. Nobody carries a stand the height of a doorway indoors at the end of the evening.

Shop-bought egg chair covers are sold in bands: single, double, and now and then one size in inches. A band has to fit the biggest chair in it, so on most chairs it leaves fabric to spare.
On a chair nearly two metres tall, spare fabric is a sail. Wind gets behind it and it fills, and the cover rocks the pod on its chain.
The drawstring at the bottom is there to pull the cover in at the base. On a cover that is too long, it gathers on the patio instead, holding nothing.
Which is how a waterproof egg chair cover ends up in a heap round the base of the stand the morning after a windy night.
The woven pod copes with rain on its own. What wears an egg chair out is everything it holds, and the steel that holds it up.
The pod is open at the front, and rain blows straight in onto the seat. The curve that shelters your back does nothing for the cushion underneath you.
The cushion is the part of an egg chair that soaks up water. It stays damp long after the weave has dried, and a damp cushion is where mould gets its start.
Sun fades the cushion where it sits in the opening, the one part the pod cannot shade. The back half stays its original colour, so the line is easy to spot.
The steel stand and its chain stand out in every shower. Rust starts at the welds and wherever the powder coat has chipped, then runs down the paint in streaks.
The bowl of the seat catches whatever falls from the trees above it. Leaves settle into the weave, stay wet, and bring mould with them.
A covered hanging chair is tall, and it catches the wind like a flag on a pole. That puts the hem under more strain than on any other chair in the garden.

A woven pod hung on a chain from a curved steel stand. The guide measures the pod: its width, depth and height, and the width of the front opening. The cover can fit the pod alone or go over the pod and stand to the ground; say which in the notes when you order.
One curved shell, open at the front, standing on its own base. The guide measures the width and depth of the shell, its height from the floor, and the width and height of the opening. The cover follows the curve of the shell instead of sitting on top of it.

PVCArmour® is heavy-duty, made for open, exposed gardens and commercial sites. Made to length, the hem finishes where it should: under the pod, or round the foot of the stand. A drawstring is standard and pulls it in tight there. For an open, windy garden, add one of the tie-down options as well.
Airflow vents let damp out from under the cover, so a cushion left inside can dry. EZ handles, grab handles built into the vent structure, make it quick to pull off on a sunny afternoon. Initially I purchased some plastic sheets from Amazon, put the up and thought 'job done'. Exactly what I wanted, I'm very pleased with the clear screens and the customer support is some of best I ever come across. The screens were a bit creased when I unpacked them but as soon as they warmed up in the house the creased disappeared. The day I put them up was a bit cold and they were a bit awkward to line up. Luckily the sun came out which made the job went a lot easier. There has been a couple of really windy days since fitting and they stood up to it very well.

After trying a local company, I decided to search the "net" and came across your site. The dimensions I gave you and the expected cover picture was enought to make my mind up. Your product is I would say 4 times better than my local company. They could not guarantee durability or waterproofing either. Having got my cover from yourselves I was very pleased with the quality, really strong material and very waterproof. Having it slightly oversize negates the problem of having to struggle fitting it. The old cover that came with the furniture would lift up in even mild winds, not so with this one. Althtough I have 3 bungee cords across it, it shows no sign of movement. To say I am very pleased is an understatement. Thank you.
