What This Is
A custom chaise lounge cover is a waterproof cover sized to the chaise it goes over, so it fits that one frame rather than the average of all of them.
Chaise lounges live where the sun is: around the pool, out on the patio, at the far end of the backyard. They are long, awkward to carry and often come in pairs, so they tend to stay out all summer, and plenty stay out all year. That leaves the cover to do the job a garage would.
A chaise lounge changes shape. The backrest ratchets from flat to upright, and the chaise is a different height at every notch.
A universal cover comes in one size for all of them. One buyer's four universal covers were sold as 76 × 32 × 32 inches for any chaise that came close. Put the backrest up and that size rides up it. Lay it flat and the spare fabric slumps into the seat and holds the rain.
Either way the cover sits slack, creased where it should be taut, and loose fabric moves every time the wind catches it. The owner kept them out in the San Diego sun, and in under two years all four had torn. The third one split right across the top and left the sling underneath bare.
A cover sized for every chaise fits none of them, and the weather does the rest.
What Does a Chaise Lounge Cover Protect Against?
A chaise lounge cover protects the seat, cushions and frame from sun, rain, mildew, rust, bird mess and wind-blown grit. A chaise lounge is made to sit in the sun, and the sun is what wears it out first. Rain does the rest, mostly to the cushions and to whatever stays damp underneath.
Sun on the Sling
A fabric sling sits in full sun every hour it is out. The color goes first. Then the weave loosens, and a sling that has stretched sags where you lie on it.
Rain in the Cushions
Seat pads soak up a shower in minutes and take far longer to dry. Left on the chaise, they sit wet against the frame from one rainy spell to the next.
Mildew Underneath
The underside of a cushion and the gaps between wooden slats stay damp the longest. That is where black mildew and green mold start, out of sight until you turn the cushion over.
Chalky Paint and Rust
Sun and rain break down the painted finish on a metal frame until it turns dull and chalky to the touch. Where the paint wears through on a steel frame, rust sets in, starting at the parts that move: the backrest ratchet, the folding joints and the wheel axles.
Birds and Sap
Plenty of chaises end up under a tree, for the shade. Droppings and sap land on the sling and the cushions, then bake on in the next spell of sun.
Leaves and Grit
Wind blows leaves, seed husks and grit across the pool deck, and they collect in the corner where the backrest meets the seat. Left there, they hold the damp against the frame and work into the sling.

Lounger (No Arms)
A cushioned chaise on legs, with nothing at the sides. The seat is the widest point, so the cover drops straight off the edge of the cushion with nothing to clear.
Lounger (With Arms)
A cushioned chaise with curved arms halfway along, about where your elbows rest. The arms stand out past the seat, so the cover is made wider at the arms and narrower at the foot, following the frame instead of tenting over it.
Lounger (Wheeled, With Arms)
Usually an aluminum sling chaise, with arms and a pair of wheels at the head end so it can be pulled across the pool deck. You choose whether the cover goes down over the wheels or stops above them.
Double Lounger (With Arms)
Two seats on one frame, an arm at each outer side and a backrest for each of you. One cover goes over the lot, measured across both arms.
Sofa Bed
A single or two-seater sofa whose base pulls out at the front to make a bed. The back runs across the rear, with an arm on one or both sides. The cover goes over the back and the arms, made with the bed pulled out or closed, whichever you choose.
What Happens to an Uncovered Chaise Lounge?

Waterproof means the seams as well as the fabric. Ours carry HydroLok® sealed seams, stitched and then sealed on the inside so water cannot get through the seam lines. Pulled In Under the Frame
The standard tie-down is a drawstring hem, pulled in under the frame so the wind has no loose edge to lift. For a breezy pool deck or a roof terrace, choose a stronger tie-down instead. Elasticated corners grip the ends of the frame, eyelets let you tie it down, and snap buckles fasten around the legs.

Both fabrics are UV-stabilised for a life spent in the sun. Airflow vents let damp out from under the cover, so cushions left on the chaise are not shut in with it. Will this cover fit my chaise lounge?
Yes, because it is made for your chaise alone, not cut to a shelf size. Choose your chaise's shape in the instant quote tool, measure it with that shape's guide, and enter the measurements. You can then request a free design and go through it with us before you order, or order straight away if you want to get moving. Every order is reviewed: we check the measurements and photos you send and ask you to confirm anything that looks wrong. If your chaise is not one of the shapes, contact us with a photo.
Are your chaise lounge covers waterproof?
Yes, fully waterproof, not just shower-resistant. Both fabrics are waterproof right through, and the seams are HydroLok® sealed seams: stitched, then sealed on the inside so water cannot get through the seam lines. NylonSafe® is 380gsm 420D nylon for home and light commercial use; PVCArmour® is 550gsm 1000D PVC for exposed sites and commercial use. Compare the fabrics.
Should the backrest be up or down when I measure?
That is your choice. Decide whether you want the chaise covered with the backrest up or laid flat, then measure it in that position with your chaise's diagram in the measuring guide. The cover is made for the position you measured.
Can you make a cover for a double chaise lounge?
Yes. The double, with two backrests side by side, is its own shape in the instant quote tool with its own measuring guide. Measure it with both backrests in the position you want covered, and the cover is made to those measurements.
Does the cover go over the wheels?
That is up to you. Some people want the wheels covered, others want the cover to stop above them so the chaise can still be moved. Measure with your chaise's diagram in the measuring guide, then say which you want in the “Enter any further instructions” box when you configure your cover.
Can you cover a stack of chaise lounges?
Yes, we can. For a stack, contact us with a photo.
Will the cover blow off in the wind?
The standard tie-down is a drawstring hem, pulled in under the frame so wind cannot get underneath. For an exposed patio or a pool deck that catches the breeze, choose a stronger tie-down instead. Elasticated corners grip the ends of the frame, eyelets let you tie it down, and snap buckles fasten around the legs.
Can I leave the cushions on the chaise under the cover?
Yes, as long as they are dry when the cover goes on. The cover keeps the rain off, but a cushion covered while wet stays wet. Measure the chaise with the cushions on if that is how it will be covered.
Does the cover stop condensation underneath?
It reduces it, but no outdoor cover can promise to stop it completely. Every shaped cover has airflow vents that let moisture out and keep rain out, so damp is not held against the sling, the cushions or the frame. Condensation can still form when the temperature drops fast or a chaise is covered while wet. More on condensation and airflow.
How long will a chaise lounge cover last?
NylonSafe®, our waterproof fabric for home and light commercial use, carries a 3 year warranty. PVCArmour®, the heavy-duty fabric for exposed and commercial sites, carries 5 years. The KuvrPlus warranty extension takes those to 5 and 10 years. Full terms are on the warranty page.

Not only are these covers fantastic. I purchased 3 covers for my very spoilt rabbit to keep her cosy over the cold winter months. I have to say the customer service from this company is 1st class. I placed my order had a small mix up due to my error and it was sorted straight away. Communication from John was very quick and straight forward. We have two of the covers, one at each end of the veranda. They fitted well and I have attached them to the wall to prevent them from blowing too much in the wind. They are clear so we can still see out into the garden. Unfortunately you cannot see the far end cover as out rather overgrown Kentia palm is in the way. If anyone would like to buy it please let me know, that’s the palm!
Initial placement of order a problem quickly resolved by the firm. Have been needing a hot tub cap for sometime as the insulated top allowed rainwater to flow. Nothing available locally (Cyprus), found the firm via internet search. As expected shipping and customs clearance took some time with transit via France and Italy but courier was the first delivery to my house door in a small village, usually I have to collect. As for the item, at first look delighted. Robust with sealed seams and drawstring to prevent wind disturbance. Waiting patiently to confirm, as I expect, the cap is waterproof, also looks great as can be seen in the picture. Thanks.

Made to measure cover for the wall of our Bike Port. The wall is full of holes and loose stones that fall on my bike. Does the job of keeping the wind out and my bike clean and dry. Good quality thick material. Delivered quickly.

Initially I purchased some plastic sheets from Amazon, put the up and thought 'job done'. The sheets became discoloured, they constantly made a noise as they blew around and in the end they just tore apart. I then decided to do the job properly by looking into professional custom covers. Exactly what I wanted, I'm very pleased with the clear screens and the customer support is some of best I ever come across.
The screens were a bit creased when I unpacked them but as soon as they warmed up in the house the creased disappeared. The day I put them up was a bit cold and they were a bit awkward to line up. Luckily the sun came out which made the job went a lot easier. There has been a couple of really windy days since fitting and they stood up to it very well.
