Cookie & Consent Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

What this policy covers

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Kuvr uses on kuvr.co, what each one does, and how you control them. "Cookies" here also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and tags. It works together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information more broadly.

Kuvr.co is operated by Janus Ridgeway Ltd in the UK and Kuvr LLC in the US. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "Kuvr", it means whichever of those applies to you.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser. Some cookies are set by us (first-party); some are set by the providers we use (third-party). Similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels (tiny tags that fire when a page loads) — do a comparable job and we treat them the same way for consent.

The cookies we use

We group cookies into three categories. Only the first runs without your agreement.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These keep the site working — your cart, your session, checkout and security. The site can't function without them, so they don't need consent and can't be switched off.

What it does Set by
Keeps your shopping cart and session working Shopify
Runs secure checkout and payment Shopify Payments, Klarna
Records your cookie choice so we can honour it Shopify (Customer Privacy)

Analytics and performance (consent-based)

These help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. They run only after you agree in the UK/EEA, and by default (until you opt out) in the US — see How we ask for consent below.

What it does Set by
Our own first-party tracking — a visitor_id held in a first-party cookie (_kuvr_vid) and in local storage, plus session identifiers, to see how visitors move through the site and the design/quote steps Kuvr (first-party)
Anonymised session analytics and replay, with personal data masked, to find and fix usability problems (recordings kept ~30 days) Microsoft Clarity
Whether our marketing and service emails were opened or clicked Klaviyo

Advertising and targeting (consent-based)

These measure our advertising and, where permitted, help us reach the right people. Same consent rules as analytics.

What it does Set by
Measures which ads lead to orders and supports ad targeting; captures ad click identifiers (fbclid, fbp, fbc) Meta Pixel & Meta Conversions API
Measures ad conversions and supports ad targeting; captures ad click identifiers (gclid, wbraid) and handles delayed conversions Google Ads (incl. Google Data Manager)

Where we send order or conversion data to Meta or Google to measure our ads, we use hashed (irreversible) identifiers such as a hashed email or phone number — never your raw details.

Reviews and referrals (consent-based)

These power the customer reviews shown on our product pages and our referral offers. Same consent rules as analytics.

What it does Set by
Collecting and displaying product reviews, and attributing reviews and referral offers (such as our friend-offer) to the right customer Loox

How we ask for consent

How consent works depends on where you are.

  • UK, EEA and Switzerland — opt-in. Analytics and advertising cookies run only after you agree through our cookie banner (Accept / Decline / Manage preferences). Strictly necessary cookies work without consent. You can change your choice at any time.
  • United States — opt-out. Analytics and advertising cookies run by default, and you can opt out at any time. We honour recognised opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

We record your choice and apply it. We never grant consent on your behalf.

How do I control cookies?

You have a few options, and you can combine them:

  • Use our cookie banner. Choose Accept, Decline or Manage preferences when it appears, and reopen it any time from the link in our site footer to change your mind.
  • Use the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out.
  • Use your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site — like your cart and checkout — from working.

Turning off analytics and advertising cookies won't stop you using the site or placing an order; it only limits the tracking described above.

Do these cookies collect payment details?

No. Payment is handled by our payment providers (Shopify Payments and Klarna) on their own secure systems. We never see or store your card number, and none of the cookies above collect it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy when the cookies or providers we use change. The version posted here is the one that applies when you use the site.
