Coverage that follows how the fabric is built.
Fabric degradation, seam failure and manufacturing defects are covered for the full warranty period on every screen and tarpaulin we make. How long that period runs comes down to how the fabric is constructed.
What's covered, fabric by fabric
Standard coverage is included with every screen and tarpaulin, at no extra cost. KuvrPlus doubles the period on all three fabrics.
Supported and unsupported fabrics
Clear fabric is what we call unsupported — a sheet of PVC with no interwoven reinforcement inside it, which is exactly why you can see through it. A supported fabric has that added reinforcement layer running through the middle, with a PVC coating either side, making it opaque rather than transparent. Both are proper year-round outdoor fabrics. Which one suits you comes down to whether you need to see through it.
Clear fabrics expand in warmer weather and contract as they cool, and Ultra 50 in particular can become slightly more brittle at very low temperatures — the trade-off for leaving the reinforcement out. That brings a risk of cracking or tearing in freezing temperatures (typically below −5°C / 23°F), largely manageable with careful handling and proper securing. In return you get clarity and flexibility no supported fabric can give you.
The interwoven reinforcement holds the fabric's shape through temperature swings and keeps it flexible in the cold, so it isn't exposed to the same expansion, contraction and brittleness. That is what the longer warranty period reflects, and it's the fabric we'd reach for when something has to stay covered all year round. The trade-off is that it's opaque — if you need to see through it, choose Flexi 30 or Ultra 50 instead.
Extend your coverage with KuvrPlus.
An optional care plan that doubles the standard warranty period for your chosen fabric. It's there if you want longer-term protection, without changing how your screen or tarpaulin is made or used. Add it when you configure your order.
